Goree Island, a world heritage site. It has a history of being a base for the slave trade . Being an island, you won’t be able to experience its sad past unless you visit the island.
The scenery may be different from what you expected when you actually step inside. That would be reality too.
I stayed in two extreme locations. One place is a cheap place for 3000 CFA (600 yen) per night . The other was an inn run by a Japanese man called “Chez Yamada”.
Although the accommodations were in different areas and operated by different operators, both had their merits. I felt that by experiencing multiple accommodations, I could learn more about the world.
You can drink beer everywhere in Senegal .
It gets sweltering during the day, so a cold beer soaks up your body.
Beer was sold in bars and other places that were strictly controlled, so I think religion and culture have something to do with it.
Senegal has many place names with similar spellings , and just a slight difference in pronunciation can make them completely different places. I fell into this trap (unintentionally).
If you are unsure of your pronunciation, I think it would be better to show them the letters. This story is common overseas, so I would like to be careful in any country.
Senegalese law does not provide for “freedom of panoramas,” and posting photos that focus on artworks is prohibited. It’s also a country where many people don’t want their photos taken, so you’ll want to be very careful when taking photos.
There are many scenes you want to photograph, such as oversized African Renaissance statues, but please be aware that there are also places and objects that you should not photograph .
