[SaoTome VISA] Things I checked when applying for an online VISA

This page summarized what I learned about applying for an online VISA, which I do not fully understand how it works.

Online VISA application screen

note: Please apply at least 12 business days before your departure date.

Proceed with the application following the instructions

Fill out the application about belows.

  • PDF of Passport within 2MB
  • Hotel reservation information (hotel reservation number and reservation person)
  • Airline name
  • Arrival date/departure date
  • passport number

DONE !! “Process number” is very important.

Check the status

about 4 hours later….

You can check the status at blows site. Input the “Process number”.

Result is…

Request rejected
Thank you for accessing our website, we inform you that you must redo your request, attach a copy of your passport and your round-trip ticket. Indicate the name of the hotel where you will stay on the form.

contents of PDF

With this content, it looks like you only need to upload your passport PDF. However, there is no place to post copies of airline tickets or hotel reservation information.

Therefore, insert the following into one PDF file.

  • 1 PDF within 2MB
    1. Passport image
    2. Air ticket (go and return)
    3. Hotel reservation information (for instance Booking.com)

Hotels Reservation Information

I thought it would be better to use a well-known site that outputs reservation information, so I included the Booking.com reservation number.

However, I only made reservations for the first day.

Result again

Fulfilled the Requirements

But “Request rejected”…..

It’s end of my challenging.

can anyone share that “proper” hotel list. I’m running into issues with this e-visa thing.

I didn’t understand about the above. From this thread, it seems that you need to make a reservation at a government-approved accommodation.
