Java Island, where capital Jakarta is located, is a long and narrow country that stretches over 1000 km from east to west.

This time I went with a round trip ticket to Jakarta. Jakarta is located in the west, so there is a considerable distance from Jakarta to East Java, where there are many tourist attractions. A domestic flight is required.

You can go to Central Java, but it takes quite a while to get to Semarang or Yogyakarta. It takes more than 10 hours one way by bus or train. Bus and train departure times are accurate, but they often arrive late. Also, the roads are always crowded and it is difficult to read the time.

On a vast island like Java, you can save travel time by choosing which islands you want to visit and narrowing down the areas you want to see. When you look at a map, Jakarta and Cirebon look close, but it takes 3 hours one way to get from the airport to the city by shuttle bus or 3 hours by train.

If you start from Jakarta, it won’t take long to travel, so it’s a city you definitely want to visit.

You can feel the traditional and calm Indonesian atmosphere. Trusmi has aspects of being an ancient capital and a tradition of batik. East Javanese culture such as Becak remains.

There are many shops in Jakarta, but there are not many attractions. My favorite memory is MONAS (Monument Nacional). Many locals gathered on New Year’s Eve. All stalls are delicious and cheap. There were various types.

There are a lot of people and cars are congested. The problem is that everywhere you go it’s crowded.
Also, the air conditioner is too effective. It’s difficult to manage my health.
